On the day the Jews celebrate Purim Party we proclaim the fasting by Christians sentenced to death by terrorists.

The reason is that in this same region the Jews were also sentenced to death and God gave deliverance, and there was born the Purim Party to celebrate this victory.  We will do exactly what the Jewish people did at the time:  They have come together to pray and fast while Queen Esther offered a feast for the King and ask in behalf of his people.  We will fast and pray and enter the presence of God to intercede for the Christian people. 

History 

At the time of King Ahasuerus, the viceroy Haman made a decree to kill all the Jews, but they came together to pray and fast for three days and had the victory.  It happened in Persia where he is currently Iran and extended throughout region around Israel, which is populated by Muslims.  Today in the same region are killing Christians, so I want to proclaim a day of prayer for Christians. I believe the same principality that rose up against the Jews, now rises against Christians, but our God is the same so do not fear.

I believe God can do today by Christians the same as it did in the days of Esther, God can exterminate this enemy as he did with Haman and Amalek, we only need to unite in prayer as they did. We found the full story in the book of Esther.

The name comes from Haman Hamas root word that means hatred, violence, war and derivatives.  Hama was a descendant of Amalek, he wore on his chest an image of “your God” and demanded that all fell down at him and automatically do one act of worship the image of their “god”.  Mordechai, Esther’s adoptive father, was Jewish and did not bow to Haman for religious reasons and conviction of faith, because the Jews do not kneel before another god other than the One God of Israel, The Creator (Ex 20: 3-6).

Haman hated Mordecai so convinced the king to sign a decree of death to all Jews scattered throughout the land, claiming that faith and their religion was against the customs of Persia. With the decree in hand, Haman took luck and chose the 13th of Adar for execution.  Haman made a gallows 50 cubits and could not wait to hang Mordecai your enemy.  But Mordecai asked Esther the queen enter the presence of King and intercede for him to revoke the sentence that had signed the request of Haman. However, if someone walked in the King’s presence uninvited could die.

Then Queen Esther asks all God’s people pray and fast for him for three days and then she would go to the King plead for the life of God’s people.  God blessed Esther and she was able to void the decree of death that was against his people.  The King had hanged Haman on the gallows itself he built for Mordecai the Jew, and all the people were saved. That day the enemy determined the order of God’s people, were they who died.  a big party was made to celebrate the victory and called it the Feast of Purim, which to this day is celebrated worldwide. 

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

The Jews believe that the Feast of Purim God judges the principality of death that came upon them 

Note: To this day the enemies of Israel can not eliminate the Jews because God protects them.

FAST

The three days of fasting proclaimed by Esther was a powerful weapon to win the principality.

UNIT

The sages say that the Jewish people were divided and apostate that time and why God allowed Haman stood up against them.  But when Esther ask for ALL the people gather to pray and fast God gave victory.  So far today the Jews UNITE is to pray together.  Besides praying they make offerings for the poor in this day and then ask God to victory against enemies.

CHRISTIANS OF SOLD 

But today in the same country are seeing the enemy sentenced to death men, women and children because of their faith.  It changed the characters, but the enemy behind it all is the same. There is a principality of death rising against Christians as well as the days of Esther.  The Jews defeated this principality seeking God together to pray and fast.

Today I want to invite the Church around the world to unite in prayer and fasting asking for God to judge this principality as He did in the days of Esther.  And in 2015 the Feast of Purim begins in the evening of March 4, our calendar Gregorian and closes 5th at 18:00.  Let’s start fasting day 4 at dusk and end the evening of March 5.

OFFER TO THE POOR

We will be oferendo an offer to feed children in Africa.  Just as Esther gave a banquet to the King, we believe that a feast for the children will please Jesus the King of Kings
