The “Elijah’s Anointing” Prophetic School took place in September 20-22, in Santa Maria, a city in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil. With this year’s theme being “The Children of Honor,”  the event brought together participants from various parts of Brazil and five countries: England, Uruguay, the United States, Japan, and Costa Rica.

The school attracted people from 215 Brazilian cities, as well as Christians from different regions of the world, due to its new format.

“This year, the Prophetic School was broadcast on the internet because many students asked to participate online. For the first time, we broadcasted the whole conference, and people can watch it from their churches or at home with their families,” said Pastor Gabriele Engel. “I believe everyone will receive just as much as those present in Santa Maria, because the anointing has no limits and can also reach people this way.”

The opening session was marked by prophetic words and teachings focused on the importance of honor. Pastor Tiago Engel was responsible for the teaching, based on 2 Samuel 7:8, and highlighted that this year’s theme, “The Children of Honor,” was deeply rooted in the Bible.

Prophetic DNA

On Saturday (21), Joel Engel, the visionary behind the Prophetic School, spoke about the concept of “prophetic DNA,” explaining that God revealed to him, during a 50-day fasting period, that a new generation of prophets was being formed.

“The DNA of parents brings a lot of genetic information to their children, but external influence can cause changes. During those days of fasting, God showed me a generation of prophets that was being born, but they didn’t know they were prophets until they received the anointing. Only the Word can change your spiritual DNA,” Engel declared.

“I was caught up that day, and God told me I would be like Abraham, with many children. But I understood it was something new, and today I realize that we need to generate a new generation once again.”

The Power of Honor

On Sunday (22) there were more teachings on the main theme of the school: honor. Joel Engel Junior, Pastor Joel’s son, highlighted the dangers of dishonor, explaining how Jesus was prevented from performing miracles in places where He was dishonored.

“Honor is a channel through which the supernatural descends. Honor is not optional; it is due. If dishonor were a seed, it would be capable of ruining all the land where it was planted. When we cross the red line of dishonor, we cancel out the promises,” he stated.

Joel Engel also emphasized the importance of honor at various levels of human life, explaining the different types of honor that God can release: physical health, emotional wealth (such as friends and family), respect in society, and, finally, the fourth level, a rain of spiritual blessings.

“God honors those who honor Him. When God places you in a position of honor, you will be respected, and the voice from above will speak for you. Honor comes from above, and Jesus was honored by the Father like no one before Him. If you are a child of honor, you will also be honored by God,” he said, citing Matthew 3:17, where the baptism of Jesus is mentioned.

Another highlight was the sermon on the book of Esther, when Joel Engel explained how a death decree issued by Haman was turned into a decree of honor for Mordecai.

“The royal robe is the mantle of Jesus, and it is upon us. Esther entered the king’s presence in pure garments, and that mobilized heaven. Every bad decree can be revoked, but the good decree will never be revoked!” he declared.
